About Ann Catrin Evans

Traditional Blacksmithing

Ann uses traditional blacksmithing techniques, iron, bronze, stainless steel, silver, copper, and gold. Simple good design, and revealing the true characteristic nature of each material is Ann’s signature style.

Since 1989 Ann has worked on numerous projects, commissions, exhibitions and residencies. She won the Gold Medal in The National Eisteddfod in Builth Wells in 1993 and equal first again in 1997, and has made numerous Crowns for Eisteddfodau.

Her most prominent commission is in the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff – the bronze and aluminium door handles throughout the building, and the ceremonial Lock and Key. See Ann's CV below for more information about her many projects over the years.

2004 - Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay. Door Handles and Push Plates, cast bronze and aluminium.
